UNILAG to graduate 238 first class students at 52nd Convocation

A total of two hundred and thirty-eight graduands among twelve thousand, two hundred and seven that will be taking part in the fifty second convocation ceremonies of the University of Lagos will bag First Class in various degree programmes.

Unilag Vice-Chancellor, Professor Oluwatoyin Ogundipe who made this known during a pre-convocation press conference, said the convocation will be his last as the institution’s Vice-Chancellor.

Professor Ogundipe, said out of the total twelve thousand, two hundred and seven graduands, seven thousand, seven hundred and ninety-nine will receive first degrees while four thousand, four hundred and eighteen will receive postgraduate degrees.

The Vice Chancellor also disclosed that two thousand, four hundred and fifty-four students graduated in the Second-Class Upper Division, three thousand, four hundred and fifty-nine obtained Second-Class Lower Division, one thousand, one hundred and eighty-three students graduated in the Third-Class Division while eighty-five students made the Pass degree.

Professor Oluwatoyin Ogundipe added that Elizabeth Ekeoseye of the department of zoology at the faculty of science with a total Cumulative Grade Point Average of four point nine five will be awarded the best graduand for the 2019/2020 graduating set.
