Twenty-five thousand and eight private candidates have scored credit passes and above in at least five subjects, including English and Mathematics, in the 2021 West African Senior School Certificate Examination.
The number of credit passes represents forty-eight-point-six percent of the total number of candidates who sat for the for examination.
The Head of WAEC National Office, Patrick Areghan, announced the results at the headquarters in Yaba, Lagos.
Areghan said the results of three thousand, nine hundred and sixty-eight candidates are being investigated for examination malpractice.
