We are ready for business, President Buhari tells African leaders

President Muhammadu Buhari has told other African countries that Nigeria is open for business.

President Buhari says progress has been made in the reforms of key institutions to encourage the ease of doing business.

Buhari also declared that his government has strengthened the fight against corruption and stabilize the economy.

The Nigerian leader made the declaration in his address at the opening of the Intra-African Trade Fair in Durban, South Africa.

He praised the African Union Commission, and the Africa Export-Import Bank for their dedication to promoting trade among African countries.

Former President of Nigeria, Olusegun Obasanjo, was also present at the event in Durban, which he described as an opportunity for Africa to stop depending on other parts of the world.

On his part; South Africa’s President, Cyril Ramaphosa, said it was no longer acceptable for African countries to export raw materials and import finished goods.

President Ramaphosa is of the view that trade between African countries will help to strengthen the industrial base of the continent.
