Yoruba nation agitator, Sunday Igboho, freed in Benin Republic

This report from Benin Republic says Yoruba Nation campaigner, Sunday Adeyemo, also known as Sunday Ighoho, has been released from prison in that country.

Banji Akintoye, who is the leader of the Pan-Yoruba self-determination groups known as Ilana Omo Oodua Worldwide, confirmed the release of Igboho in a statement.

According to the statement by the Communications Secretary of the group, Maxwell Adeleye, Akintoye described the release of Ighoho as victory of truth over darkness in Yorubaland.

Recall that Sunday Igboho was arrested in Benin Republic on July 19, 2021, on his way to Germany, after he fled Nigeria following a deadly raid on his home in Ibadan, Oyo State, by operatives of the Department of State Services.
