Young Nigerians produce 1st pidgin transcription of Holy Bible  

Two Nigerians have set a target for themselves to develop a standard Pidgin that will be understood and acceptable across the country.

Prince Salem Egoh and Pastor Jacob Egoh also intend to develop the Pidgin spoken in Nigeria as an alternative official language.

Both Prince Egoh and Pastor Egoh have started the process with the completion of a Pidgin transcription of the English dictionary.

They have also completed the Pidgin transcription of the New Testament of the Holy Bible, plus the books of Psalms and Proverbs in the Old Testament.

Prince Salem Egoh, who spoke with Lasgidi FM News Desk on their motivation and goals, said Pidgin is easier to understand.

Prince Salem Egoh also spoke about the different types of Pidgin that is spoken in different parts of Nigeria, and the need to have a standard version.
