2-months court extension of NIN registration begins march 23

The court order for two-months extension of the deadline for the registration of mobile phone SIM with the National Identification Number, NIN, started counting on March 23.

So says the Lagos-based human rights lawyer, Monday Ubani, who dragged the Federal Government to court to enforce his fundamental human rights.

Ubani share details of the court order he obtained from a Federal High Court in Lagos during an interview on Lasgidi FM’s news and current affairs programme – Tori-For-Town.

Some Nigerians had expressed concern about the new deadline for NIN and SIM integration, as the Federal Government’s deadline ends on April 6.

Some residents of Lagos who spoke with Lasgidi FM’s Chukwuemeka Obioma, on the streets, shared mixed feelings about the court order extending the NIN registration by two months.
