4th Mainland Bridge construction begins soon, as Gov Sanwo-Olu unveils lagos connectivity plan

The Lagos State Government is going ahead with its plan to completely end the operation of Okada riders in the state.

This is despite concerns that the government’s plan to replace the Okada riders with medium capacity buses is not enough.

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu said in addition to the introduction of five hundred of such buses, his administration intends to increase the number to five thousand in next twelve to eight months.

Governor Sanwo-Olu also said that other plans to support the easy movement of people around Lagos include the ongoing Blue and Red rail lines that are still under construction.

The Governor revealed his plans during his State-of-the-State Address, which was broadcast live across the state.

Governor Sanwo-Olu also assured that everything was being done to sign the contract for the Fourth Mainland Bridge before the end of this year.

The Lagos State Governor also listed some road projects that have been awarded in different parts of the state.
