Authorities in Missouri, United States, have executed a man for three murders in a robbery attack at a store in 1994.
Sixty-one-year-old Ernest Johnson was given a lethal injection after the US Supreme Court refused to delay his execution.
The Court also ignored pleas by advocates, including Pope Francis, for Johnson to be shown mercy and forgiveness.
