85 Judges appointed for Election Tribunals

The Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice TANKO MUHAMMAD, will tomorrow swear in eighty-five new judges for election petition tribunals.

The tribunals are being inaugurated in preparation for the forthcoming governorship elections in Edo and Ondo states.

There would also be tribunals for legislative bye-elections in different parts of the country, which are scheduled to hold soon.

The Media Officer of the Court of Appeal, SA’ADATU KACHALLA, confirmed in a statement that the inauguration would take place at the ceremonial hall of the Supreme Court in Abuja, Thursday, September 10, 2020.

He also noted that the President of the Court of Appeal, Justice MONICA DONGBAN-MENSEM, was responsible for the selection of judges to serve on the panels of the election tribunals.
