CBN launches launch initiative to drive production

The Central Bank of Nigeria has launched what it calls One-Hundred-For-One-Hundred initiative to drive production in the country.

CBN Governor, Godwin Emefiele, led other top officials of the bank and the Federal Government at the launch in Abuja.

The Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, who was represented at the event, urged those who benefit from the scheme to use opportunity for economic good.

In his response; the President of the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria, Mansur Muhktar, said they were ready for the challenge of the One-Hundred-For-One-Hundred initiative.

The launch of the One-Hundred-For-One-Hundred initiative comes three months after the CBN listed the selected beneficiaries.

In his speech; CBN Governor, Godwin Emefiele, appealed to banks and other financial institutions to give due consideration to small businesses in loans.
