The Zamfara State Government is insisting that it knows those behind the wave of kidnappings in the state, but it remains silent on the identity of such persons.

Governor Bello Matawalle was the first to make the claim, which was repeated by his Commissioner for Home Affairs, Abubakar Dauran.

It is still not clear how and when the abducted Jangebe schoolgirls in Zamfara State were released, or where they were picked up by government officials.

A reporter on ground in Guzau said there was no information about how the girls were moved to the Government House in Guzau, until the state officials invited the for a media briefing.

Meanwhile; the Arewa Consultative Forum has challenged Zamfara State Governor, Bello Matawalle, to mention the names of those behind the kidnappings in the state.

The ACF Chairman, Audu Ogbeh, said Governor Matawalle’s allegation cannot be taken lightly, as it was an embarrassment to the north.
