The African Development Bank has condemned travel bans placed on African countries over the Omicron variant of Covid-19.
The AfDB President, Akinwumi Adesina, wandered why African countries are being targeted by such bans, even when Omicron had also been found in developed countries.
Adesina said global vaccines’ and travel apartheid against Africa are putting lives at risk, and hurting economies, jobs and livelihoods.
