The defending champions of the Africa Nations Cup, Algeria, have crashed out of the completion in Cameroon.
Algeria crashed out yesterday with only one point, after losing three-one in their final Group E game against Ivory Coast last night.
Before then, the Algerian team had drawn their first game against Sierra Lone, and lost 1-0 in their second game against Equatorial Guinea.
Meanwhile, Algeria coach, Djamel Belmadi has criticized his players, including captain Riyad Mahrez following his side’s 2021 Africa Cup of Nations defeat to Ivory Coast on Thursday.
Belmadi said Algeria players did not manage to materialize their chances against Ivory Coast, adding that their outing at the 2021 AFCON was simply a failure.
