Governor DAVE UMAHI of Ebonyi State has been formerly received into the All Progressives Congress, following his defection from the People’s Democratic Party.
Governor UMAHI’s reception ceremony was held in the state capital, Abakaliki, with national leaders of the APC, including the Acting Chairman, Governor MAI MALA BUNI, in attendance.
Governor UMAHI told the large gathering of APC members and supporters that he was joining the party with all former officers of the PDP in all the local government areas.
Governor UMAHI also mocked those who have said that he would regret his decision to join the APC, saying that they were no God to determine his fate.
In his speech; APC’s Caretaker Committee Chairman and Governor of Yobe State, MAI MALA BUNI, said Governor UMAHI’s move to the party is at the right time.
Governor BUNI also declared that Governor UMAHI automatically becomes the new leader of the APC in Ebonyi State, just as he presented the party’s flag and membership registration slip, as well as a broom, which is the symbol of the APC.
