The Court of Appeal in Abuja has nullified the conviction and seven-year imprisonment of former spokesperson of the People’s Democratic Party, OLISA METUH.
A three-man panel of Appeal Court led by Justice STEPHEN ADAH nullified the judgment against METUH by Justice OKON ABANG of the Federal High Court in Abuja.
Justice ADAH ruled that the judgment by the lower court judge against METUH and his company, Destra Investment Limited, was bias and must not be allowed to stand.
The Appellate Court, therefore, ordered that OLISA METUH and Destra Investment Limited should face fresh trial by another judge of the Federal High Court.
