President Muhammadu Buhari has praised the management and board of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation for declaring a profit for the first time in forty-four years.
In its annual audited report for year 2020, the NNPC declared a profit after tax of two hundred and eighty-seven billion naira.
President Buhari said the record is in line with the commitment of his administration to ensure that national resources are well managed for the benefit of Nigerians.
In a statement posted on his Facebook page, President Buhari said he had directed the NNPC to publish its audited financial statements on time, and in line with the requirements of the law.
