Calm has been restored around the Eleganza area of the Lekki-Epe Expressway in Lagos, following a violent protest yesterday.
Police and other security operatives were called in after violent protest erupted in the area following an accident involving a tipper that was transporting sand and a motorcycle.
The protesters also set up a bonfire on the ever-busy expressway, which disrupted the flow of traffic and forced businesses in the area to close shops.
