Catholic Priest calls for inter-religious conference to douse tension in Nigeria

A clergyman, Monsignor Paschal Nwaezeapu has called for a conference of religious leaders of different faith to address the problem of terrorism and banditry in Nigeria.

Monsignor Nwaezeapu, who is the Parish Priest of the Catholic Church of Divine Mercy in Lekki, made the call in an interview with Lasgidi FM’s Azuka Onwuzor.

The Catholic Priest also encouraged Nigerians to put aside their religious and ethnic differences and work together for the common good of the country.

He blamed the growing calls for separation by some persons in the to the failure by the government to give all citizens a sense of belonging.
