DSS releases 8 persons linked to Yoruba nation agitator, Sunday Igboho

The Department of State Services has release eight of twelve persons who were arrested during a raid at the residence of Yoruba Nation agitator, Sunday Adeyemo, on July 1, 2021.

Pelumi Olajengbesi – the lawyer who has been battling the DSS in court, confirmed the release of the eight persons after sixty-one days in detention.

Addressing newsmen in Abuja, Pelumi asked the DSS to release the remaining four detainees, and also account for two others who were killed during the raid on July 1, 2021.

Meanwhile; a High Court in Oyo State has rejected the fresh move by the Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, to remove a court order that forbids the arrest of Sunday Igboho, or freezing his bank accounts.
