EFCC drags Senator Okorocha to court over 2.9-billion-naira fraud

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has slammed seventeen count charge of fraud against Senator Rochas Okorocha.

The EFCC alleged that Senator Okorocha and six others, including five companies, stole two point nine billion naira belonging to the people of Imo State.

The anti-graft agency claimed that Senator Okorocha and the companies committed the crime between October 2014 and February 2016.

The money was allegedly taken from the Imo State Government House account and the Imo State Joint Local Government Project account.

Aside the five companies, the other suspects named in the case is Anyim Nyerere Chinenye.
