Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission have arrested thirty-four suspected internet fraudsters in Lagos and Ibadan, Oyo State.
Ten of the suspects were arrested on Tuesday at Horizon Estate, Meadow Hall Way, in Lekki, Lagos.
Twenty-four others were picked up by EFCC operatives around the Apete area of Ibadan, Oyo State.
The suspects are accused of involvement in romance scam, unemployment benefits scam, identity theft, and purchase of malicious tools to hack corporate email accounts.
A statement by the EFCC confirmed that valuable items recovered from the suspected criminals include four expensive cars, mobile phones, laptops, SIM cards and incriminating documents.
