An officer of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission who leaked a video of former governor of Anambra State, Willie Obiano, in detention has been identified and is currently facing disciplinary action.
The EFCC confirmed this in a statement on its social media handles, in which it distanced itself from the video, adding that it was completely against its Standard Operating Procedure.
However, the EFCC statement did not reveal the name of the bad officer and did not mention the punishment he or she is likely going to face.
Meanwhile; it has been revealed that the EFCC arrested Willie Obiano over alleged misappropriation of forty-two billion naira.
EFCC Chairman, Abdulrasheed Bawa, disclosed this at an event in Abuja, adding that Obiano had been granted bail.
