Emergency responders rescue crashed petrol tanker, avert fire disaster

A disaster has been averted in Lagos after a petrol tanker crashed and poured its content on the overhead bridge between Costain and Orile-Iganmu.

General Manager of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, Femi Oke-Osayintolu, said emergency responders were immediately sent to the accident spot.

The LASEMA GM also said investigation shows that the driver of the petrol tanker was reckless, and that was what led to the accident.

Elsewhere, a truck has crashed on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway and crushed a man to death at Arepo junction.

Reports say the accident happened on the section of the expressway leading out of Lagos, which resulted in traffic obstruction on the road.
