FG declares Monday June 14 Public Holiday

The Federal Government has declared Monday next week, June 14, as a public holiday to mark this year’s Democracy Day.

The holiday was announced by the Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola, in a statement signed by the Permanent Secretary in the ministry, Shuaib Belgore.

Aregbesola advised Nigerians to embrace the spirit of brotherhood for peace to reign in the country.

He called on the citizens to support the present administration in its efforts at ensuring a united and prosperous nation.

However, the Minister warned against agitations capable of threatening the peace of the country.
