The Federal Government has declared Thursday this week as a public holiday.
Thursday is October 1st, 2020, and it is the day set aside for the celebration of Nigeria’s Independence from Great Britain in 1960, which is exactly sixty years ago.
The Minister of Interior, RAUF AREGBESOLA, has congratulated Nigerians on the country’s Golden Jubilee.
AREGBESOLA praised Nigerians for the country’s achievements in economy, education, and the creative sector, amongst others.
The Minister assured that the government would continue to invest in Nigeria’s socio-economic transformation.
His comments were contained in a statement by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Interior, GEORGINA EHURIAH.
