The Federal Government has extended the NIN-SIM verification exercise by three months.
The extension means that the earlier deadline of December 31st, 2021, has now moved to March 31st, 2022.
The Director of Public Affairs, Nigerian Communications Commission, Ike Adinde and Head of Corporate Communications, National Identity Management Commission, Kayode Adegoke, confirmed the development in a joint statement.
The statement also disclosed that NIN enrolments have exceeded seventy-one million, adding that the NIMC has over fourteen thousand enrolment centres set up across the country to facilitate and fast track the process.
