The Federal Government has faulted the leaked report of the Lagos State Judicial Panel of Inquiry and Restitution for Victims of Police Brutality and Other Related Matters.
The Federal Government is also insisting on its earlier position that there was no massacre at the Lekki Tollgate on the night of October 20, 2020.
The Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, who addressed a news conference in Abuja, described the leaked panel report as victory of fake news.
Lai Mohammed said the Panel compiled its report based on information collected from the social media, and raised more questions than answers.
The Information and Culture Minister agreed with comments already expressed by some persons who have criticized the report of the Lagos EndSARS protest.
Lai Mohammed also pointed out some sections of the leaked report, which he said do not reflect the final decisions of the panel.
