The Federal Government has launched the digital switchover of broadcasting signals in Lagos State.
The Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, was joined by other stakeholders at the ceremony in Lagos.
Lai Mohammed said with the digital switchover, seventy percent of broadcast content will be sourced locally.
Mohammed also said the rollout of the digital setup boxes will give TV viewers a better viewing and quality content.
On his part, the Permanent Secretary in the Lagos State Ministry of Information and Strategy, Thorpe Olusina, said the Digital Switch Over will help in bringing governance closer to the people.
Olusina spoke on behalf of Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu at the DSO launch ceremony in Lagos.
