Former Nigeria’s Military Head of State, General YAKUBU GOWON, has denied looting half of the Central Bank of Nigeria, as alleged by a British parliamentarian.
General GOWON said he was disappointed the British MP TOM TUGENDHAT could make such a statement without checking the facts.
GOWON, who spoke with a UK-based reporter, said there was no time when he was held or questioned for money laundering.
He also called on the UK government to take the necessary step to call the MP to order, adding that the allegation against him was an insult to himself and Nigeria as a nation.
