Four policemen have been killed in an attack by gunmen at Iwollo Oghe Police Station in Ezeagu Local Government Area of Enugu State.
The State Commissioner of Police, MOHAMMED NDATSU, confirmed in a statement that the police officers died of gunshot wounds.
C.P. NDATSU said the hoodlums stormed the police station in their numbers, and opened fire on policemen on duty, while part of the station was set on fire.
He said officers returned fire against the hoodlums, and that several of them escaped with gunshot wounds.
