The Inspector-General of Police, I.G.P Usman Alkali Baba, has ordered the immediate posting of C.P Bartholomew Onyeka to Plateau State Command as the new Commissioner of Police.
Force Public Relations Officer, C.P Frank Mba, said in a statement that the posting follows the redeployment of C.P Edward Egbuka to the Force Headquarters for other national engagements.
The IGP charged the new Commissioner of Police to deploy his community building experience in ensuring improved public safety and security of lives and property of the citizenry in the State.
The deployment followed the recent crisis that rocked the State House of Assembly where the Speaker of the House, Nuhu Abok Ayuba, was impeached and replaced by Yakubu Sanda by eight lawmakers.
