Imo State Govt Boost Security With 100 Patrol, Equipment

The Imo State Government has strengthened the state’s combined security outfit, codenamed “Operation Search and Flush”.

Governor Hope Uzodinma announced the donation of one hundred patrol vehicles and security gadgets to boost the security outfit.

The launch of the new vehicles and equipment took place Wednesday, May 5, 2021; a day after a Commissioner of Police was sent to Imo State, in the person of CP Abutu Yaro.

Imo State has been at the centre of a faceoff between security agencies and members of the Eastern Security Network.

The state has also recorded the highest number of attacks on security formations by unknown gunmen in parts of the South-East and South-South states.

With the launch of the new security outfit and the donation of one hundred patrol vehicles; Governor Uzodinma believes that peace would be restored in Imo State.
