The Independent National Electoral Commission has announced that the 2023 general election will hold six hundred and sixty days from today.
That means INEC has about one year, nine months, two weeks and six days to prepare for the elections on Saturday, February 18, 2023.
INEC Chairman, Professor Mahmood Yakubu made this known when he appeared before the Senate Committee on INEC.
Professor Yakubu was invited to make presentation at a one-day public hearing on the National Electoral Offences Commission Establishment Bill.
Yakubu said that INEC will release the actual timetable for the general election immediately after the governorship election in Anambra State.
