The Kenya High Commissioner to Nigeria, Ambassador Wilfred Machage, is dead.
The Nigerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced the death of the diplomat in a statement, saying that Machage collapsed in his Abuja residence was rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Kenya’s Principal Secretary to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Macharia Kamau, said the ministry and the country had lost a dedicated and committed leader.
Ambassador Machage was appointed High Commissioner to Nigeria by President Uhuru Kenyatta in January 2018.
