Labour movements receive praises for calling off fuel subsidy protest

The Labour Movement in Nigeria has received praises for calling off its planned protest to resist the removal of petrol subsidy.

Former General Secretary of the Nigeria Labour Congress, Issa Aremu, said the Federal Government also did well by delaying the subsidy removal by eighteen months.

Aremu, who is currently the Director General of the Michael Imodu Institute of Labour Studies, shared his opinion during a media interview.

Meanwhile; the Chairman of the Labour State Council of the Nigeria Labour Congress, Agnes Sessi, described the delay of the petrol subsidy removal as a postponement of the evil day.
