Nurses and midwives working in health facilities of the Lagos State government are expected to return to work today after suspending their strike, which lasted for just twenty-four-hours.
The Lagos State chapter of the National Association of Nigeria Nurses and Midwives announced the suspension of the strike a day after reaching an agreement with Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
Chairman of the association, Olurotimi Awojide, told newsmen after an emergency meeting yesterday that they decided to allow the state government to fulfil its promises.
