The Lagos State Government has donated new sets of security equipment to the police and other security agencies in the state.
Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu made the presentation of the security equipment during a ceremony in Ikeja.
In addition to the donation; Governor Sanwo-Olu said the state government was installing over two thousand high-definition CCTV Camera across the state.
Governor Sanwo-Olu also reaffirmed the decision by his administration to provide Body Cameras for security officers in the state, as part of efforts to boost security and safety of Lagosians.
The Governor used the occasion to send a strong warning to criminals operating in Lagos State that the state would no longer be comfortable for them.
President Muhammadu Buhari, who was also present at the ceremony in Ikeja, commended the Lagos State government for the donations.
President Buhari also repeated his earlier directive to security operatives to shoot at sight any unauthorised person found with AK-47 rifle.
