Lagos State Government vows to parade gender-based violence offenders

The Lagos State Government has announced that people who are found to have committed gender-based violence will be paraded publicly, going forward.

This was announced at an occasion to mark the United Nations Sixteen Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence, which was organized by the Domestic Violence Unit in the Ministry of Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation.

Officials from the Ministry advised participants at the to serve as agents of change in efforts to discourage cultural values and practices that cause gender-based violence within the society.
