The last US military flight has left Kabul airport, marking the end of a twenty-year presence in Afghanistan.
Officials said the last aircraft took off with the US ambassador onboard after midnight local time on Tuesday.
However, US officials said that the diplomatic mission would continue to assist those who were unable to leave before the deadline.
