Lawmaker demands AGF apologises over EndSARS

The Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Federation, ABUBAKAR MALAMI, has been asked to apologise to Nigerians for his comment on the shooting of EndSARS protesters in Lekki, Lagos.

A member of the House of Representatives, TAJUDEEN YUSUF, made the demand following MALAMI’s claim that hoodlums dressed in military attire could have been responsible for the shooting of protesters at the Lekki Tollgate on October 20.

YUSUF, who is a member of the People’s Democratic Party from Kogi State, also asked the Federal Government to stop the clampdown on young Nigerians connected to the EndSARS protests.

He said it was confusing that the Federal Government promised to look into the EndSARS demands and still went to great lengths with actions and words that aroused real doubts over its sincerity.
