An American man has become the first person in the world to get a heart transplant from a genetically-modified pig.
Fifty-seven-year-old David Bennett is reported to be doing well, three days after the transplant operation at the Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore, which lasted for about seven hours.
Bennett was considered unqualified for a human heart transplant due to very poor health, and the heart of a pig was considered the last hope of saving his life.
