New York Governor, Andrew Cuomo, resigns

The Governor of New York in the United States, Andrew Cuomo has offered to resign over allegations of sexual assault of eleven women.

Andrew Cuomo made the announced under pressure following his indictment in a report by the New York Attorney General.

Cuomo disclosed at a news conference that he will leave office in fourteen days’ time, although he maintained that the accusations against him were politically motivated.

Meanwhile; Lieutenant Governor Kathy Hochul will serve the rest of Cuomo’s term as the first female governor of New York.
