Nnamdi Kanu faces amended 7-count charge of treason and terrorism

The Federal Government has filed an amended seven-counts of treasonable felony and terrorism against the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu.

The amended charges were filed yesterday by lawyers from the Office of the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice.

This comes more than three months after Kanu was arrested and returned to Nigeria, as also two days to the next hearing of the case on October 21, which is on Thursday this week.

At the last court sitting on the matter on July 26, the Department of State Service failed to produce Kanu in court.
