Police arrest 4 over deadly attack on APGA rally in Aguata, Anambra State

Police in Anambra State have arrested four suspects in connection to the attack on a political event of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, at Isuofia, in Aguata local government area.

The political event was called by former governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Professor Chukwuma Soludo, and three policemen attached to him were killed in the gun attack.

The Anambra State Police Public Relations Officer, Ikenga Tochukwu, confirmed the arrest of the suspects in a statement.

He gave their names as Mbah Victor, John Olisakwe, Chigozie Omeh, And Emmanuel Nnobi, who are between ages twenty and thirty.

Meanwhile; Professor Soludo has hinted that the attack on him could have been sponsored by those who are opposed to his governorship ambition.

Professor Soludo also appealed to the hoodlums to release the Anambra State Commissioner for Public and Utilities, Emeka Ezenwanne, who was abducted at the scene of the attack.
