Policemen on Thursday, October 14, 2021, took over the Lekki Tollgate area on the Lekki-Epe Expressway in Lagos State.
The move is in response to plans to mark the anniversary of the EndSARS protest in October last year with another protest at the Lekki Tollgate, where security operatives opened fire on protesters.
The Police Public Relations Officer, Adekunle Ajisebutu, confirmed the presence of policemen at the Tollgate in a telephone interview with Lasgidi FM News Desk.
