Rochas Okorocha faults EFCC’S 2.9 billion Naira fraud charges

Former governor of Imo State, Senator Rochas Okorocha, has faulted the seventeen-count fraud charge filed against him and six others by the Economic and Financial Crime Commission.

Senator Okorocha said he is not aware of the two-point-nine-billion-naira case in court, adding that he had not been served the court papers filed by the EFCC at the Federal High Court in Abuja.

Okorocha, who represent Imo West Senatorial District, also questioned the timing of the EFCC’s case against him, just as he declared his interest to contest the 2023 presidential election.

The Imo West Senator also wondered why the EFCC had refused to obey two court orders that were granted in his favour against the anti-corruption agency.
