Senate blames F.C.D.A. for leaking national assembly roof

The President of the Nigerian Senate, Ahmed Lawan, says the National Assembly should not be blamed for the leaking roof of the legislative complex in Abuja.

A day after the damaged roof of the National Assembly exposed to the public during a heavy rainfall, Senator Lawan pointed accusing fingers at the Federal Capital Development Authority.

Senator Lawan was responding to a point of order raised by Senator Sabi Abdullahi  during plenary at the Red Chamber of the National Assembly.

He said the leakage in the National Assembly is a clear testimony, and confirmation of the position of the lawmakers for the approval of funds for the repairs.
