Senator Saraki celebrates, as court lifts forfeiture of Ikoyi properties

A Federal High Court in Lagos refused to order permanent forfeiture of assets belonging to former Senate President, Bukola Saraki, to the Federal Government.

Justice Mohammed Liman took the decision based on an application filed by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission over Senator SARAKI’s two properties located in Ikoyi, Lagos.

Justice Liman also set aside its earlier order of interim forfeiture made against the two properties located at 17 and 17A MacDonald Road, Ikoyi.

Senator Saraki has welcomed the judgment of the court, and thanked the Almighty Allah who gave him the opportunity to serve Kwara State and Nigeria.

Saraki expressed the hope that the court judgment would mark an end to what he described as a campaign of calumny against his person.
