Stakeholders fault Federal Government use of private company for cargo tracking

Some stakeholders in the Nigerian ports are not happy with the decision by the Federal Government on the use of a private company for the tracking of cargo heading to the country.

Frank Tietie, who is the Executive Director of Citizens Advocacy for Social and Economic Rights, said the selection process used by the Minister of Transport, Rotimi Amaechi, was not open and could encourage corruption.

Speaking further during an interview on television, Frank Tietie complained that there was so much money in the seaports across Nigeria that is not going to the Federal Government due to corruption.
