Wike faults President Buhari’s call on state governors to take care of their security challenges

In another development; Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, has faulted President Muhammadu Buhari for asking state governors to take care of their security challenges.

Governor Wike reminded President Buhari that he is the Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Governor Wike, who shared his views during the commissioning of one of his projects, also reminded the President that all the security chiefs in the country are his appointees and they report to him.

He challenged the President to support the amendment of the constitution to empower state governors to appoint commissioners of police and see if they would not tackle the security challenges.
